Mental Performance Consulting

Mental Performance Consulting

Mental performance work for athletes, coaches, and operators who want to build the thinking patterns that hold up when it counts. This is coaching, not therapy: focused, skills-based, and built around your specific performance environment.

Who this is for

Wrestlers, young athletes, and collegiate athletes working on the mental side of competition. Coaches and families supporting them through it. Military members, first responders, executives, and anyone in a high-visibility or high operational tempo profession where performance carries real stakes.

How Paul Works

Paul’s approach is built around five areas he keeps coming back to with every athlete and operator he works with:

  • Performance and Wellbeing — the two aren’t separate. Sustainable performance requires a person who’s actually doing well.
  • Identity Beyond the Uniform — who you are matters more, and lasts longer, than what you do.
  • Neutral Thinking — not positive thinking, not negative thinking. Thinking that’s accurate enough to act on under pressure.
  • Families in the System — performance doesn’t happen in isolation. The people around you are part of the picture.
  • The Operator’s Mindset — for military and first responder populations specifically, where the stakes and the training are different from sport.

Credential

Paul is a Candidate for Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) status through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology, completing his mentored hours through the Gonzaga University Athletic Department under Dr. Trish Nash and Dr. Matt Jones.

Getting started

A first call is short and low-pressure: what you’re working on, what’s worked before, and whether this is the right fit.
